Garnet from the Thomas Range, Utah: Topaz Mountain. Beautiful Garnet from Utah. Garnet occurs in several isolated places in the Thomas Range. I dug these from a little known area (not listed in books) that has an unusually high occurrence of large Crystalline Trapezohedral Garnets (most found in the area are very small and/or replaced by hematite (ugly) - and that's all I'm saying. It is very difficult to find a specimen of the size and quality I offer (when I offer, that is) in the "publicly known" areas (many of which are mostly "dug out") in the Thomas Range.
