I've
always thought it would be cool to have a nice specimen card for the incredible
gems and minerals found in the Thomas and Dugway ranges in the west desert
of Utah, so I made one. Good quality specimens of Rare Pink and Sherry Amber
Topaz, Red Beryl aka Red Emerald and Bixbite; The rarest precious gemstone in the
world, Beryllium Nodule also known as Tiffany Stone or
Opalized Fluorite; Perhaps the scarcest
rare stone in the world, Bixbyite; a Very Rare beautiful iron and manganese
metallic cubic crystal only occurring in the Thomas Range, Garnet (Type 1);
these really sparkle and are not easy to find, Cubic Pyrite; from a very old abandoned gold mine in
the Dugway Range, Apache Tears; Very nice Obsidian from the Thomas Range,
Rhyolite; The treasure bearing sparkly volcanic matrix (host rock) of many minerals in the
Thomas Range including Topaz and Red Beryl and Garnet, and last but not least, Chalcanthite
(means Copper Flower); a Very Rare
Azure Blue Copper and gypsum crystal from an old mine in the Dugway Range.
--- It goes
without saying that these are very hard to come by specimens and just the
Red Beryl crystal alone would be worth the price of the opening bid. These
cards are hand made and will only occasionally be available, depending on
mineral availability (that means if I go dig 'em up myself - which I of
course do) and selling price of this initial auction (they are allot of work
to put together too). Now you can have all
these treasures for yourself on one specimen card without the travel and
sweat and knowledge needed to dig them yourself. You are bidding on the actual card
(pictured) you will receive - don't let this chance slip by.
