Beautiful Sodalite from Brazil
Sodalite is sometimes called poor mans lapis, although it does not seem much like lapis to me. It is cooler, heavier and harder than lapis and a brighter color of blue. The name refers to sodium content. The chemical composition is chloric sodium aluminum silicate. This particular material came from Brazil, but is also found many other places in the world. The white colored patterns are from Calcite.  This stone has a very magnetic appeal and is very comfortable to hold and look at. It is exceptionally nice Sodalite I got from one of my dealers. No Black and just the right amount of white patterns running through a "LUMP IN YOUR THROAT" RICH BLUE STONE that you will truly love. I could not resist cutting it, I hope you will not be able to resist buying it.  :)
