This is a fantastic stone - Very hard to capture in pictures. It is somewhere between the two type of pics (black or white background) It is much better in person. There is fire across the entire face and looks good from any angle. One of the best and darkest opals I've seen in person. The base color is no lighter than N2 black - it looks very close to N1 (darkest possible) to me. The Fire plays across the entire surface of the stone and it is truly amazing as it moves. The pictures do not capture it's true beauty. Everyone who sees this stone loves it
