Apache Chrysocolla
Apache Chrysocolla is said to come from an old worked out copper mine in Mexico, but I have also heard it comes from other copper mines as well. Apache Chrysocolla is very hard and polishes great. It is made up of many different minerals including Chrysocolla, Malachite, Shattuckite, Calcite, Cuperite, Hematite, Quartz and others. It also made the front cover of Rock and Gem magazine.
This material is from a new source, AND OH MY! IS IT NICE! This is really amazing material. Very hard to come by at any quality. As in all Apache Chrysocolla there are some cavities in the rough and it is a challenge to work, but plenty of good cutting and this is truly excellent rough - the color and patterns are exceptional. I only have a limited supply so get it while you can.
