Queensland, Agate Creek designer gem 4/21/2018 01 - 53 x 30 x 4.5 mm - 56 carats - This world class, flawless designer cut cabochon is one of my best gems to date from this beautiful Australian agate or any agate for that matter. The colors, patterns as well as the cut are outstanding. This large stone is cut to a designer tear drop that follows the full pattern of the cross cut nodule. It's very rare to find a piece that will yield a stone this large with no cracks or flaws. This cabochon has a beautifully rounded low dome, girdled sides and a flat beveled back all with liquid high gloss luster. I am extremely pleased with this gem. It will make a top shelf collector stone or a spectacular high end pendant. This excellent and rare rough came from Ian Bell.. thanks Ian!
