Red Horn Coral fossil gem calibrated heart cab 9/24/2017 01 - 20 x 20 x 4.7 mm (calibrated) - 14 carats - Here is one of a very small number of calibrated heart shaped cabs I've cut. A lovely little gem of the rare fossil coral that comes from the top of a mountain in Utah. Dug and cut by me, this stone has beautiful colors and patterns with a nicely rounded medium domed front, girdled sides and a flat beveled back all with excellent high gloss luster. This is possibly the best 20 mm heart shaped cab of this material I've cut to date. If not, it's one of my favorite. This stone is calibrated to fit a 20 mm standard sized or pre-made jewelry setting. I rarely cut hearts but with all the crazy going on in the world I felt like wearing my heart... uh... in a cabochon... I think you get me.
